Responsibilities: New Product Developer - Protein Bars

As an expert in high protein bars, your role is crucial in developing and expanding the field. You are expected to keep updated with the latest advancements in your area of expertise and collaborate closely with other professionals. Your contributions should aim to develop innovative and advanced practical knowledge, exchange experiences with other experts, and build and maintain strong networks.

Having extensive knowledge about a wide range of ingredients and how to apply them is also important. You will serve as a source of practical information for regional TSS and application teams. Additionally, you are responsible for executing the Application Roadmap for high protein bars and helping in the development of the Technical Framework.

Your main responsibilities:

  • One of your key roles is to influence and execute the innovation roadmap by collaborating with ingredient experts and identifying opportunities for new application technology, partners, and product development projects.
  • You'll also conduct practical work to define the Technical Framework for an ingredient. It's important to provide training and support for regional Application Support Technologists and TSS to help launch new innovations or existing ingredients in the market, involving other relevant disciplines where needed.
  • You'll provide support for more technologically complex application work from regions via responsible regional TSS/Application Support and undertake the most complex projects, including co-development or development at a customer site, with the most important customers.
  • you'll assure that appropriate internal and external training for all regions in your area of expertise is available, use existing tools like Salesforce appropriately to make insights available and actionable to the organization, and maintain global applied knowledge on specific high protein bar applications.


Overall, your informal and persuasive style should focus on your ability to drive innovation, manage customer relations, and share knowledge effectively to achieve the best results for the company.

Requirements New Product Developer - Protein Bars

The following qualifications are required for this position:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in formulating high protein bars;
  • A strong technical background in areas such as Food Technology and Product Development;
  • Technical expertise in Adult Nutrition and its ingredients, including GOS, DHA, dairy proteins, hydrolysates, and more;
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial environment while handling multiple tasks;
  • Proactivity, creativity, and relationship building skills;
  • Collaborative skills across various departments, including TSS, marketing, product development, sales, supply chain, QA, and customers;
  • Knowledge and experience in confectionery;

A salary between 5000 and 6000 euros per month, based on knowledge and experience.
