We are seeking a Temporary Senior Product Developer to join a leading Menswear Shirts team in Amsterdam. In this role, you’ll oversee the full product development process from concept to final production, collaborating with Design, Merchandising, and Technical teams to create high-quality, stylish shirts for a global market.

You’ll be responsible for sourcing materials, managing production timelines, tracking samples, and ensuring all systems are updated. Additionally, you will work to improve product quality, fit, sustainability, and innovation, with regular travel to production facilities to monitor progress.

Responsibilities: Product Development - Men's Shirts (Temporary)

In this role, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Oversee the end-to-end product development process for the Menswear Shirts collection, from initial design concepts to final production;
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Design, Merchandising, and Technical to ensure product quality, timelines, and specifications are met;
  • Manage sourcing activities, track sample development, and ensure all deadlines for proto samples, lab-dips, and production approvals are adhered to;
  • Coordinate the planning and tracking of fit and prototype samples to ensure timely delivery and alignment with collection goals;
  • Maintain and update key product data across internal systems, ensuring accurate garment specifications and production information;
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance product quality, sustainability, and innovation while meeting margin targets;
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and ensure cost-effective production without compromising on quality.

 

Requirements: Product Development - Men's Shirts (Temporary)

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development, ideally in woven categories within the fashion industry;
  • Strong expertise in sourcing, fabric knowledge, and managing the production process from concept to delivery;
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with a well-organized and structured approach;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with multiple teams;
  • Hands-on experience with garment development, including a keen eye for fashion, quality, and fit;
  • Fluent in English, with the ability to travel to production facilities and vendors.

 

Offer: Product Development - Men's Shirts (Temporary)

Your salary/rate will depend on your current knowledge and experience. We are able to offer this position as a direct contract or as a freelance assignment.
