Responsibilities : Ingredient Specification Technologist (TEMP)
As the Ingredient Specification Technologist, you guarantee that the ingredients meet all functional, quality, and food safety standards as well as regulatory requirements for Europe.
Your main responsibilities include:
- The Global Specification Manager will oversee the European requirements for ingredients, which may include minerals, vitamins, amino acids, flavours, and colours depending on the demands of the business or project;
- As part of the work, you will create specifications that match the needs of the market, consumers, and final product;
- You will manage the specification approval process;
- Keep the data in the SAP system up to date;
- It is necessary to coordinate requirements with suppliers and other departments to guarantee complete food safety and regulatory compliance, as well as the highest calibre final goods for delicate consumers.
Requirements: Ingredient Specification Technologist (TEMP)
- Master’s degree in food science/technology, quality/safety/regulatory or related field;
- Minimum 2 years experience in an ingredient, regulatory, or quality-related area in the food industry, preferably with ingredient specification management experience;
- Knowledge and experience working with ingredients specifications i.e. flavours, colours, minerals, vitamins, amino acids would be a definite plus;
- Knowledge of food for special medical purposes regulations;
- Knowledge of manufacturing process from R&D and regulatory POV is required;
- Ownership and solution-driven mindset;
- Experience in SAP systems;
- Good skills in MS Office, esp. Excel.
The Offer : Ingredient Specification Technologist (TEMP)
Through our agency, you will receive a temporary contract.
There is a possibility that your contract will be renewed or that our client will make you an offer of a contract, however, we are not able to guarantee this.
- Salary will be around €3000 - €4000 gross a month based on a full-time position (40 hours a week) and is based on education and experience;
- 30 annual leave days;
- Travel expenses will be covered;
- Pension plan.
