We are looking for a Project Planner to support the planning and execution of offshore wind projects across Europe. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. This is a freelance position located in Amsterdam that starts 1st of March and will last roughly 1 year.

 

 

Responsibilities: Interim Project Manager - Renewable Energy

In this position, your responsibilities will include: 

  • Develop and optimize project schedules in alignment with project managers, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery;
  • Utilize Primavera P6 to manage and update project timelines, providing different scenarios to support decision-making;
  • Present complex scheduling data in simplified formats using tools like PowerBI and ThinkCell, ensuring clear communication with non-planner stakeholders;
  • Lead and facilitate meetings with project managers to assess, challenge, and plan project activities;
  • Leverage offshore wind industry experience to guide planning discussions and ensure alignment with project goals;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe to ensure successful project outcomes while reducing CO2 footprint;
  • Analyze and manage project resources, ensuring effective allocation and utilization throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Provide ongoing support to project teams, using data insights to adjust plans and enhance project efficiency.

 

Requirements: Interim Project Manager - Renewable Energy

In order to succeed in this role, we ask that you have: 

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project planning, with at least 5 years in offshore wind planning;
  • Strong experience with Primavera P6 Professional 17 (P6) as the primary planning tool;
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing large-scale offshore wind projects, ideally including cable installation packages;
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex data for communication to non-planning stakeholders;
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural, international team;
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal;
  • Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic, fast-paced renewable energy environment;
  • Experience in using innovative software solutions to support project planning and management.

 

The Offer: Interim Project Manager - Renewable Energy

This is a freelance assignment that will start on the 1st of March, and will last roughly 12 months. The freelance rate for this position will be between €95-€100/hour.
