Imagine this, you are responsible for a major part of the finance department within a multinational corporation with a large number of entities across Europe. Together with the finance team, you will  keep track of financial transactions and prepare financial reports. This is a 6-month assignment for a freelance or temporary professional. 

Responsibilities: Interim GL Lead

• GL Led: Responsible for timely and accurate financial closing and reporting for the entities in Europe. 
• Month end closing, Journal entries, BS reconciliation, accrual monitoring (create and maintain ad hoc tracking templates)
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
• Supervise Jr Accountant
• Support Financial Statement preparation and assisting audit work.
• Oversee timely Intercompany reconciliation
• Help in implementation and enhancement of Microsoft Dynamics (D365)
• Assist setting up and maintaining standard internal reporting (to LA and local mgmt.)
• Implement monitoring and controlling of customer 
• Month end activities, analytical review of variances and stock reconciliation
• Take part in standardization and monitoring of monthly and quarterly cross-countries recharges, both management and fiscal. 
• Maintenance Fixed Assets register and reconciliation with accounting
• Ad hoc activities and projects

Requirements: Interim GL Lead

• Degree in accounting or finance with at least 5 years of relevant experience in an accounting function required
• Analytical and accounting skills
• Experience with Dutch GAAP and Dutch accounting standards
• Good collaboration and communications skills
• Attention to details
• Time management and organizational skills
• Good Excel skills
• Ability to develop relationships with diverse groups and various levels of financial and operational personnel
• Must be a strong team player and able to work under pressure during peak periods

The Offer: Interim GL Lead

This position can be offered for a freelance professional or as a fixed monthly salary. Freelance rate will be between €85-€90 per hour.
