Quality Manager Food (TEMP)
An experienced Quality Manager is needed to oversee both QA and QC at site and plant levels, ensuring all products meet safety, legal, and quality expectations. Leading the QA/QC team, the role requires fostering a transparent, collaborative approach with all relevant functions. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality management processes, standards, and systems across the site.
This position calls for a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills, with a strong focus on stakeholder management and continuous quality improvement. You’ll work across various product and process areas (including liquid IFT, SCM, Ultra Filtration, and Can Making) while engaging with a diverse customer base, such as retail/consumers, industrial clients, and the IFT market.

Responsibilities : Quality Manager Food (TEMP)
In this role, you will spearhead and nurture the Site QA/QC team, creating an environment that fosters excellence and allows team members to reach their maximum potential. You will cultivate the skills of your team to keep them engaged, inspired, and poised for advancement.
You will be responsible for formulating a Quality strategy tailored to the Leeuwarden site, collaborating closely with both the Quality and Management Teams to execute the plan effectively. Your contributions will support the broader QA/QC strategy, adapting global directives to fit the specific context of the Leeuwarden site.
Establishing areas of expertise within the team will enhance overall capabilities, and you will promote a Quality Mindset by overseeing QA processes, standards, and systems. This includes conducting both internal and external audits to ensure comprehensive oversight.
As the individual accountable for the site's QA performance, you will ensure accurate measurement and reporting of Quality metrics while guaranteeing adherence to internal and external policies, as well as regulatory standards. You will also oversee the Quality incident management process, making critical decisions on Quality-related incidents.
In addition, you will advocate for food safety, quality, and compliance, working to embed awareness of these vital issues into decision-making processes to enhance professionalism and mitigate risks. As a member of the Site Management Team, you will represent the QA function and participate in discussions and decisions related to broader site developments, such as talent planning, site strategy, and employee engagement.
Ultimately, you will report directly to the Manufacturing Director of Leeuwarden, ensuring a seamless alignment between QA initiatives and overall site objectives.

Enthusiastic individual with over 10 years of experience in quality management and assurance. You possess a solid foundation in food technology and thrive in collaborative environments, effectively engaging with various teams. Your academic proficiency is noteworthy, complemented by exceptional analytical and communication abilities.
• Academic qualifications, ideally with a specialization or strong interest in food technology;
• More than 10 years of expertise in quality management and assurance, ideally within the food sector;
• Capable of leading and guiding business transformation initiatives;
• Knowledgeable in lean and Six Sigma methodologies;
• Proficient in both Dutch and English;
• Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels;
• Demonstrated transformational leadership capabilities;
• Skilled in coaching and mentoring;
• Open to relocating within a 1-hour commute of Leeuwarden.
The Offer : Quality Manager Food (TEMP)
This concerns a temporary-to-permanent position with a minimum duration of 6 months. The role is classified at Hay 19 (€130K). The client is not open to a freelance (ZZP) arrangement.
