
Junior Finance & Tax Officer - Bank
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented junior finance professional to join a dynamic, international team within the European subsidiary of a global bank in Amsterdam. You will play a key role in daily operations, monthly/quarterly/year-end closing, financial reporting (IFRS), and regulatory reporting to the DNB. As a Junior Finance & Tax Officer you will work in the Finance Division together with 6 other colleagues. Since this bank came to the Netherlands over 5 years ago, not everything is carved in stone and you will have a broad range of responsibilities to support expanding the European business together with your colleagues (over 90 at the moment in Amsterdam). Your tasks will include:
- producing and overseeing periodical Prudential Regulatory reporting by the bank, including but not limited to COREP, LCR, NSFR, Leverage Ratio, ALMM, SRF and sending this to senior management;
- overseeing the production of Prudential Regulatory ratios on a daily basis;
- keeping abreast of relevant Prudential Regulations, including applicable guidance for reporting by regulators;
- providing guidance and/or recommendations to other divisions on interpretation of relevant prudential regulations;
- maintaining and updating user specifications/requirements for IT systems for Prudential Regulatory reporting;
- assisting in the implementation of new Prudential Regulatory reporting IT systems including business analysis and user acceptance testing;
- developing and maintaining policies and procedures in Prudential Regulatory reporting and updating those if updates in relevant regulations or guidance are issued by regulators.
Requirements Junior Finance & Tax Officer - Bank
- Bachelor or master degree in finance, economics, accounting or similar;
- Proficient knowledge in accounting standards (IFRS);
- Experience and knowledge in EU/Dutch regulatory reporting such as FINREP/BSI, experience and knowledge in OneSumX regulatory reporting system would be a bonus;
- High accuracy, punctuality, and analytical skills;
- Able to resolve complex reporting challenges with a systematic approach and solution-oriented thinking, with high attention to detail;
- Proficient skill and working experience in Excel and PowerPoint;
- Fluency in English is required;
- An international mind-set and intercultural sensitivity.
Offer Junior Finance & Tax Officer - Bank
Salary range depends on your background and experience but will be in the range of €3,300 to €4,000 monthly based on full-time of 37.5 hours per week, excluding holiday pay and a 13th month.
